Who are we...?

We are a group of neighbours who are lobbying the council to review Ealing Dean Controlled Parking Zone JJ as soon as possible.

The consultation process carried out before the introduction of Zone JJ demonstrated that opinions were sharply divided. People living near Uxbridge Road campaigned to be included in the new zone, but other streets voted to stay out.

The Council compromised by drawing the boundary line half way along Lavington Road - a possibility never mentioned in the consultation process.

The result was predictable. Many commuters who leave their cars in this area all day have just moved along the road, where they are now fighting for fewer spaces.

It means we find it more difficult to park close to our homes. It creates problems for families with young children, and the elderly. In some cases, driveways have been blocked, bays for the disabled have been occupied, and vehicles have been parked carelessly across street corners.

We know that when originally consulted last year, a lot of residents voted against the CPZ, and some remain opposed to the idea on principle.

What do we want...?

But we have carried out our own survey, and it shows residents of Lancaster Gardens and the section of Lavington Road outside the zone are now strongly in favour of inclusion.

We believe our only option to end the present chaos is to become part of an enlarged CPZ. AND WE WANT THE REVIEW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

We suspect that many residents in neighbouring streets are now coming to the same conclusion.

What have we done...?
